Zhang Chulan was a normal college student until he got caught up in a terrible incident in a small village while visiting his grandfather's grave. After successfully fending off the zombies and further encounters with the knife-wielding girl known as Feng Baobao, Chulan's life begins to change as he learns that the martial arts technique taught to him by his grandfather, known as Qi Ti Yuan Liu, is a technique being sought after by many martial arts groups with ulterior motives. The story follows Chulan's attempt to find out his grandfather's real history and his supposed connection with Feng Baobao.

A toy stuffed dog has just been sewn together when it hears a young child ask for an orange. The child's mother explains that they have no money, and so she cannot buy any oranges. Ralph Burton is a miner who is trapped for several days as a result of a cave-in.
